About These Stories

Beatrix Potter wrote and illustrated her little books between 1901 and 1913. Originally published by Frederick Warne & Co, they are now firmly in the public domain and free to enjoy worldwide. Her stories are models of beautiful, precise English — short enough for a single sitting, rich enough to revisit for a lifetime.

J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan stories need no introduction. Peter and Wendy (1911) is the full novel — Neverland, Captain Hook, Tinker Bell, and Wendy. Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens (1906) is the earlier, dreamier story of a baby boy who escapes to live among the fairies of London's most famous park.
